How Pumptide works, where the fees go, and what to know before you trade.
How it works
Every coin on Pumptide is a pump.fun coin paired with a token of the creator's choice: a tokenized stock like NVIDIA, Tesla or SpaceX, a pre-IPO name like OpenAI or Anthropic, a privacy coin, or plain SOL or USDC. Pump.fun's program accepts about 230 pairing assets today; the picker lists all of them.
Coins launch through pump.fun's create_v2 with a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000, no mint or freeze authority, and trade on pump.fun's bonding curve against the pairing asset. When the curve completes, pump.fun migrates the liquidity into a PumpSwap pool. Coins trade on any Solana terminal (pump.fun, Axiom, GMGN, Jupiter) and on the coin page here.
Pumptide holds no keys and no funds. A launch is one transaction you sign in your own wallet.
The early-buyer round and the 3% rule
Float opens every coin at about $20K because it owns its curve's settings. Pump.fun fixes each curve's base (about $2.5K to $3K today) and has no setting to change it. Pumptide gets to $20K a different way, without charging the creator or fronting capital: the first buys are opened to everyone before trading starts.
- The round. Opening a coin opens a short round (15 minutes to a day). Anyone commits SOL to the Pumptide escrow to be among the first buys. The round fills at the amount of SOL that lifts the curve to $20K; the coin page shows it live.
- Launch. When the round fills (or its window ends), the escrow creates the coin on pump.fun and spends every committed SOL on the opening buy in the same transaction. Nobody can trade in between. Early buyers split those tokens in proportion to what they put in, all at the same average price. A smaller pool just opens lower.
- 3% per wallet. No wallet can end up with more than 3% of supply from the round; the commit box enforces the cap. Creators who want in commit like everyone else.
- Graduate at launch. A creator can size the round to buy the whole curve instead of lifting it to $20K (about 86 SOL on a SOL pairing, so at least 27 wallets at the 3% cap). Pump.fun lets the buy that empties a curve keep buying at the price the pool will open at, so the launch transaction completes the curve and the coin opens straight in its PumpSwap pool, BOOST included, with no curve phase for snipers to work. The payout bot opens the pool itself if pump.fun's migrator has not within seconds.
- Unlock. Early-buyer tokens stay in escrow until the market cap passes $20K. After that each buyer can transfer theirs out from the coin page and do as they like. If the cap never gets there, they unlock anyway after 7 days. Escrowed tokens earn holder rewards for their owners the whole time.
- Refunds. A round with no buyers is cancelled. If a launch fails on chain, every deposit is refunded automatically.
Fees
Pump.fun charges a protocol fee of 0.95% on every buy and sell, plus a creator fee. On stock and other quote-control pairings the creator picks 1%, 2% or 3% at launch (pump.fun's maximum is 3%); on SOL and USDC pairings pump.fun fixes it at 0.3%. The protocol fee is pump.fun's. The creator fee is what Pumptide splits.
Every coin launched here names the Pumptide vault as its pump.fun creator, and the vault opts the coin into pump.fun's on-chain fee sharing. The split is the same before and after graduation:
- 35% Treasury, always. Paid to the Pumptide treasury, which spends it on liquidity for Pumptide coins and nothing else (see Liquidity below).
- 65% The creator's call. Chosen once, at launch, and written into the coin's fee shares on chain. Pump.fun lets that list be written exactly once, so nobody, Pumptide included, can move a coin's fees afterwards:
- Holders. The 65% is paid to your coin's holders, pro rata, in the pairing asset.
- Me. The 65% is paid to the wallet you choose, in the pairing asset.
- My coin's liquidity. The 65% is bought into your coin and locked: burned on the curve, burned LP after graduation.
Fees build up in pump.fun's creator vault until someone presses Cycle fees on a coin's page (anyone can, and our payout bot does it automatically). Cycling sweeps them and pump.fun's fee program pays each share to its destination, on chain, in the pairing asset. The coin page shows which option its creator picked.
The treasury is funded by that 35%, by $TIDE (which launches in the creator option with the treasury as its recipient, so its whole fee lands there) and by the 1 SOL duplicate-ticker fee (see Tickers). It spends on liquidity only: it buys coins still on their curve up to the $20K open and burns what it bought, and adds burned LP to the highest-volume graduated pairs. Every treasury add is listed on the Liquidity page.
Liquidity
35% of every creator fee goes to the treasury and comes back as depth nobody can pull, spread across Pumptide coins; on coins whose creator chose My coin's liquidity the other 65% goes straight back into that coin. Pump.fun decides where a coin's liquidity lives (its bonding curve, then a PumpSwap pool) and nobody can change that, so Pumptide adds to those markets instead of opening a second one.
- Before graduation. The payout bot buys the coin on its bonding curve and burns the tokens in the same transaction. The pairing asset it spent stays in the curve and migrates into the PumpSwap pool with the rest at graduation; the burn means the bot never holds the coin and the curve fills faster.
- After graduation. Since July 2026 every coin graduates into a pump.fun BOOST pool: pump.fun keeps about a fifth of the migration SOL to buy and burn the coin over the first five minutes and prices the pool with that much extra virtual depth. BOOST pools do not accept liquidity deposits, so on these coins the bot keeps buying and burning: each add puts more of the pairing asset into the pool's real reserves and takes tokens out of circulation for good, exactly what pump.fun's own boost does, just funded by the coin's fees forever.
- Older plain pools. On coins that graduated before BOOST (or if pump.fun turns it off), the bot buys the coin with half, adds both halves to the PumpSwap pool and burns the LP tokens in the same transaction, the way pump.fun burns its own migration LP. The trading fees that depth earns stay in the pool too.
- Size. Adds go out once a coin has at least $20 waiting, and a single add never buys more than 2% of the market's reserves; anything over that waits for the next one. The Liquidity page lists every add with its transaction, and each coin has its own depth chart there.
- Pick a pairing with a bigger fee and it compounds faster. On SOL and USDC pump.fun fixes the creator fee at 0.3%, so a coin doing $100K a day puts about $3,150 a month into its own depth. On a stock, pre-IPO or other quote-control pairing the creator picks 1%, 2% or 3% at launch: the same coin at 3% compounds about $31,500 a month, ten times as much, and $90,000 a month if the creator also chose My coin's liquidity. That is the trade a creator makes when picking the pairing: a higher fee per trade for a pool that deepens ten times faster.
- Paired with $TIDE. Pump.fun lets a pump coin be the pairing asset, so once $TIDE has launched the picker offers it. Every trade on a $TIDE-paired coin is a $TIDE trade too, and its fees and liquidity are in $TIDE. Early-buyer rounds still commit SOL; the escrow buys $TIDE with it at launch.
The bot's own buys are not trades: they are excluded from volume and the leaderboard. Nothing it buys is ever held, so the Pumptide wallets' share of any coin stays at zero.
Rewards
Holders. On coins whose creator chose Holders, the payout bot sends the 65% to the coin's holders every few minutes in the pairing asset, pro rata, wherever they bought. Rewards go to the wallet's token account for that asset; if it has none, the bot creates one once the wallet is owed at least $2. Smaller amounts roll over. Rewards are for holding: sell before a payout and what you were owed goes back to the coin's holders. The bonding curve, the PumpSwap pool and the Pumptide escrow never count as holders, and the liquidity bot holds nothing, so it never counts either.
Creators. On coins whose creator chose Me, pump.fun pays the 65% straight to the wallet they named at launch, every time fees are cycled. No bot in between.
Trader airdrops ended in November 2026. The leaderboard on the Analytics page still shows volume by wallet, but no fee share funds it any more.
Tickers
Tickers are 1 to 10 letters or numbers, case-insensitive ($Pepe and $PEPE are the same), and each can be launched once for free. Launching a ticker that already exists on Pumptide costs 1 SOL, paid to the treasury in the launch transaction. If that coin graduates within 48 hours, the wallet that launched it gets the 1 SOL back automatically. The original coin keeps trading.
Risks
Coins are highly speculative. Most lose value, and you can lose everything you put in.
Tokenized stocks are issued by third parties (xStocks, Backpack Securities, PreStocks and others), not by the companies themselves. Issuers keep powers over their tokens: they can pause transfers, move or burn tokens, or add rules later. If an issuer pauses its stock, trading and rewards for coins paired with it stop until it resumes. Some pre-IPO tokens charge a fee on every transfer on top of trading fees; the picker shows it.
Pumptide relies on pump.fun's programs and their fee-sharing rules. Pump.fun can change its fee schedule and its list of pairing assets. The Pumptide escrow, payout bot and liquidity bot are run by the team; their addresses are below so every movement can be checked.
